Here, I am going to explain Holi story (History of Holi). The students can write Holi festival essay from this Holi story. The History of Holi is very famous Holi Story of Holika and Prahlad. The history of Holi is a ceremony of Prahalad remained unaffected from bonfire.
Prahalad, son of evil king Hiranyakashipu was a vigorous devotee of Lord Vishnu. He ignored the orders of his demon father not to offer prayers to the Lord Vishnu. Demon king Hiranyakashipu tried a lot to stop his son. Holika, Hiranyakashipu’s sister was booned by Lord Brahma for never being harmed by the fire. At last she sat on a bonfire with Prahalad to kill him. But magically the fire burnt Holika and Prahlad remained unaffected. Truth wins over evil.
It is a tradition of Holi festival (from Holi Story) to celebrate the Holika’s death and Prahlad’s safety by firing bonfire which is known as Holika Dahan.
